What is the ruling on a wife lying to her husband about what she owns of money, given that he is unemployed and demands money from her for smoking and cafés, while she needs the money to support the household, especially since he knows of her lying and will find the money later?

A husband is obligated to spend on his wife and children in a reasonable manner. It is not permissible for him to take anything from his wife's salary except with her consent, or if she did not stipulate working at the time of marriage and he prevented her, and she then relinquished a part of her salary in order to work. If the husband is not entitled to anything from her salary, she has the right to withhold the money from him. If she fears conflict, she may use dissimulation (tawriya). If she is compelled to lie, there is no sin upon her to protect her money. Smoking is forbidden, and it is not permissible to assist the husband in it with her money.
