What is the ruling of the religion on drawing, whether of imaginary people or from pictures, or of animals and inanimate objects, if the intention is to develop talent and happiness and not to disobey God or for embodiment?

Drawings of animate beings are prohibited by consensus if they are three-dimensional, and likewise, drawing by hand is prohibited according to the majority of scholars, due to the absolute nature of the prophetic traditions. Good intentions do not change the ruling of prohibition. It is permissible to draw inanimate objects such as trees, the sun, the moon, and natural landscapes, as there is no prohibition in creating them. There is no harm in drawing that which is limited to the face, eye, or body without the head, because removing a part without which life cannot exist renders the image outside of what is prohibited. It is recommended to occupy oneself with what benefits in the Hereafter.
