Is it permissible to give false testimony in court to certify the death of a man so that his family can obtain his retirement benefits, especially since the family is in dire need of money?

Lying and bearing false witness are forbidden (haram). However, if a Muslim is compelled to do so to save a Muslim's life or property, then it is permissible to lie to the extent of the necessity, without exceeding it.
