What is the ruling on a woman wearing transparent clothes or clothes that reveal parts of her body, and on tying hair at the top of the head, and how does one respond to those who cite the fatwas of some scholars to permit that?

A woman must cover her entire body with a loose, thick garment that neither describes nor reveals her form in front of non-mahram men. In front of her mahrams, she must cover her entire body except for her extremities (head, arms, and feet). As for in front of other women, she should cover what is between her navel and her knees. It is forbidden for her to wear clothing that resembles the clothing of men, or of immoral women, or of disbelievers. It is recommended that she wear modest clothing even among women, and not just what is obligatory to cover, in order to avoid corruption. As for tying the hair, there is no harm in it as long as it does not involve imitating immoral women or disbelievers, and is not in a manner forbidden by Sharia.
