It is permissible for a son to demand a debt from his father, but he should not deal with him in the same way he deals with others in terms of demanding and insisting. Parents should not overburden their children by frequently asking for money. If a father is in need, he may ask for and take money, but if he becomes self-sufficient, he should refrain from asking.
