Is he who repented from a sin to have his distress removed, then returned to it after it was relieved, considered like the people of the ship, especially if the sin is of a type difficult to abandon?

It is obligatory for a servant to repent from their sins and to persevere in uprightness. If another sin is committed, they should perform another repentance. To prevent returning to sin after repentance, one must avoid being lured by Satan, keep away from places of disobedience and bad company, occupy oneself with acts of obedience, remembrance (dhikr), and beneficial deeds, and associate with people of virtue and goodness.
