Is it better to quit studying computer science and technology at university and focus solely on religious studies in order to attain Khushu' (devotional humility) and reward, given the lack of sufficient time to study and memorize the interpretation of the Qur'an, the absence of Khushu' in prayer, and the feeling of falling short in religious duties?

Religious knowledge is the most noble of sciences, and its possessor holds a high status. You should take your share of this honorable knowledge. We do not advise you to abandon the field you are studying, love, and excel in, with the intention of benefiting Muslims. Rather, the advice is to combine both good things, by organizing your time and being careful not to waste it, seeking help through supplication, constantly remembering Allah, accompanying good people, and avoiding what wastes time.
