Must I complete high school and university studies, even though that affects my acts of worship and my time, given that I have a provider and I wish to devote myself to home and worship, or is it permissible for me to abandon my studies?

It is advisable to strive diligently in high school studies and not abandon them under the pretext of being hindered from worship and Sharia knowledge. Combining studies with worship and Sharia knowledge is possible through seeking Allah's help, organizing time, and balancing priorities. Among the things that aid in this is maintaining prayer with khushu' (devotion), for "with patience, and restraining oneself upon what Allah has commanded patience for, there is great assistance in every matter." And prayer "is the balance of faith, and it forbids indecency and evil, and it is sought for help in every matter." Furthermore, high school and university studies and striving for excellence in them are not a waste of time, but rather a beneficial use of time in learning useful sciences that achieve religious and worldly interests, and bring great rewards if the intention is sound and the purpose is good. For every religious or worldly science that the Ummah needs can elevate one's ranks with Allah if the intention is righteous.
