What did Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) offer to Islam and the propagation of its message using the science of lineage, and what did Muslims benefit from him in that era?
Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq is the best of the Ummah after its Prophet, by the consensus of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah (Sunnis). He has many virtues and merits, and numerous books have been dedicated to collecting his virtues, such as the book "Abu Bakr is the Best of the Companions and the Most Deserving of the Caliphate." To ask about his contributions to Islam through the science of genealogy is an overexertion, for his services to Islam are far greater than that, as he sacrificed himself and his wealth. Among his stances in using the science of genealogy is what Muslim narrated from Aisha, that the Prophet asked Hassan ibn Thabit to satirize Quraish. The Prophet said: "Indeed, Abu Bakr is the most knowledgeable of Quraish concerning their genealogies, and I have a lineage among them, until he clarifies my lineage for you." So Abu Bakr informed him of the lineage, and Hassan said: "By Him Who sent you with the truth, I shall pull them out of it as easily as a hair is pulled out of dough."
