Is it permissible for a woman to perform 'Umrah without a mahram as part of a group of women over forty?

A woman is not permitted to travel alone except with a mahram or her husband, based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) sayings: "It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for a distance of a day and a night, except with a mahram." And his saying: "A woman should not travel except with a mahram." These hadiths do not exclude travel for 'Umrah or other purposes. Some jurists have allowed a trustworthy woman to travel with a safe group only for Hajj, because it is an obligation. Accordingly, the presence of a group of women is not sufficient for traveling for 'Umrah. If a husband or mahram is not available, then you should not travel.
