I am a supervisor in the Islamic section, inquiring about Fatwa No. 136749. Does it include stories of seeking forgiveness (Istighfar), charity (Sadaqah), and repentance (Tawbah) from unknown sources, bearing in mind that I verify the verses and Hadith? However, my question is: does the Fatwa include all stories without exception?

All praise is due to Allah. It is permissible to listen to and narrate stories and wonders whose falsehood is not certain, for entertainment and to relieve sorrow, not as a basis for legal argumentation, provided that both the narrator and the listener are aware of this, and that the intention is good, such as encouraging good deeds and discouraging evil. These stories may be about penitents, those who give charity, and mujahideen, but it is not permissible to use them as evidence for legal rulings. Rulings are derived from the texts of revelation and what scholars have deduced from them.
