Is it permissible to pray to be spared from situations that could lead to sin, such as people not asking the one praying to do something that involves sin?

It is not permissible to obey a teacher or any other elder in assisting with a forbidden act, due to the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression," and due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator," and "Obedience is only in what is good." Feeling shy towards them in such matters is blameworthy shyness. The duty is to prioritize Allah's pleasure and fear of Him, for Allah and His Messenger are more deserving of their pleasure and more deserving of their fear. There is no harm in supplicating that Allah protect you and preserve you from being asked to do such things.
