How can the following two fatwas be reconciled: "https://www.islamweb.net/ar/fatwa/1640" and "https://www.islamweb.net/ar/fatwa/33997"?

There is no contradiction between the two fatwas. The first permits naming a child "Malak," while the second prohibits jokingly calling one's wife "malaki" (my angel) if the intention is to liken her to angels in eating, drinking, and marriage. This is because such a comparison contradicts the belief that angels are neither male nor female, and ambiguous wording should be avoided. However, if the intention is mercy, or if her original name is "Malak" and he calls her with an addition, then there is no objection.
