One must also avoid bad company that leads to disliked actions, in accordance with His, the Almighty's, saying: "And keep yourself patient with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornment of the worldly life. And do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his own desire, and whose affair is ever [in] neglect" (Al-Kahf: 28), and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the perfume seller and the blacksmith," and "A person is on the religion of his intimate friend, so let each of you look at whom he befriends."

In addition to this, the importance of sound upbringing from a young age is crucial, because "education in childhood is like engraving on stone." The parents and educators must also pay attention to young people, listen to them, and discuss their problems, so that they do not find an outlet except in bad company.
