What is the ruling on limiting attendance to exams only, given the possibility of being deprived from taking the main session in some subjects due to absence, and is it permissible to search for a job for marriage in this case? And is the difficulty of marriage due to smoking?

We previously explained the limit of necessity that permits forbidden things, and that if this limit is reached and no other means are available, then it is permissible to commit the lightest of the available forbidden acts. Vocational training schools with less mixing are lighter than significant mixing, and the temptation of women is greater than shaving the beard. You must determine the easiest and least dangerous matters, and participating in exams is permissible if it does not cause temptation and is the easiest for you. Remember that the temptation of women is great, as stated in the hadiths. As for smoking, it may deprive one of sustenance because of it, in fulfillment of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Indeed, a man may be deprived of sustenance because of a sin he commits."
