One must refrain from watching films that contain atheistic ideas or mockery of religion, due to the evils and corruptions they contain. It is not permissible to enjoy such films. One must denounce evil, and the lowest degree of denunciation is by the heart, which requires hating it, disapproving of it, and leaving its place. As for participating with the people of falsehood in their falsehood, it is forbidden and considered participation in sin, unless it is for a valid purpose such as denunciation and clarification of falsehoods. However, it does not, by itself, entail apostasy and departure from Islam. One must be careful not to be complacent in such matters for fear of falling into what necessitates disbelief.
