Among the ways to show filial piety to one's mother after her death are: settling her debts if she owed any to Allah or His servants, supplicating for her, giving charity on her behalf, and maintaining ties with her relatives. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked: "Is there any act of filial piety left for me to do for my parents after their death?" He replied: "Yes, four things: praying for them, seeking forgiveness for them, fulfilling their pledges, honoring their friends, and maintaining the ties of kinship which you have only through them."
