Has Sheikh Al-Albani authenticated the hadith: "Indeed, Allah Almighty looks down on the night of mid-Sha'ban and forgives all of His creation except for a polytheist or a belligerent person," and what is the extent of the validity of what is stated on some websites regarding the presence of this authentication in "Sahih al-Jami'"?

"We usually rely on Sheikh Al-Albani's authentication and weakening of narrations, but sometimes we find a ruling by another scholar that we prefer, or there are research principles that favor not following the Sheikh in a particular Hadith.

Regarding our omission of Al-Albani's ruling on the Hadith of the middle of Sha'ban, we quoted Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali's statement that most scholars weaken the narrations about the فضائل (virtues) of the middle of Sha'ban.

It is known that Sheikh Al-Albani considers the isnad (chain of narration) of Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari's Hadith to be weak, but he authenticates the Hadith due to the مجموع طرقه (collective strength of its various chains), which is something we did not find to be preponderant, nor did we see those chains as suitable to strengthen each other.

We referred to Sheikh Ibn Baz's treatise, in which he mentions that celebrating it is an innovation (bid'ah) and that the Hadiths about its virtues are weak or fabricated. This is what we found to be preponderant.

The issue of authenticating or weakening a Hadith is among the matters of ijtihad (independent reasoning) in which a scholar acts according to what he finds preponderant, and a student of knowledge follows what he finds preponderant among the sayings of the people of knowledge. It is not an issue for condemning those who differ."
