Is a wife obligated to obey her husband concerning going out to work, knowing that she does not wish to do so, and that her work entails mingling with the general public?

If a husband orders his wife to work outside the home, she is not obligated to obey him, because it is his duty to provide for her, and she is not obligated to provide for herself. If the work involves unlawful mixing (of sexes), she is not permitted to obey him, as there is no obedience to a creature in defiance of the Creator. She should remind him of his responsibility to provide for her, and that greed should not lead him to burden her with work she is not obligated to do, and which exposes her to temptation.
