Should a person who relayed news about Muslims to the occupying power, leading to restrictions being imposed on them, inform those who were harmed about what he did in order to rectify the injustices, especially given his fear of imprisonment, harm, and religious tribulation, and considering his critical health condition and unemployment?

Espionage against Muslims for the benefit of the enemy is a grave crime, but the door to repentance is open no matter how great the sin, as Allah Almighty says: "And whoever does evil or wrongs himself then seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful," and "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'"

Repentance from sins related to wronging people is valid by returning rights or seeking forgiveness from the wronged, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever has wronged his brother concerning his honor or anything else, let him seek his forgiveness today, before there will be no dinar and no dirham." If one is unable to return rights or seek forgiveness, then he must turn to Allah to appease his adversaries on the Day of Judgment, and frequently seek forgiveness, and perform good deeds and acts of obedience, for good deeds erase bad deeds.
