Is the discord and separation that occurs between spouses a punishment from Allah due to the husband engaging in anal intercourse with his wife?

It is forbidden for a man to engage in anal intercourse with his wife, and this is considered one of the major sins. The wife acted commendably by not acceding to her husband, who was abusive and overstepped his bounds. Separation is not obligatory, but the wife must advise her husband, explain to him the ruling of the Sacred Law, and prevent him from doing that. If he does not desist, then she may refer the matter to a judge and request a divorce. Some scholars have even held that it is obligatory to separate the spouses if they both agree to this act.
