What is the ruling on a wife who accuses herself of dishonorable speech, then denies it and falsely swears to that, and accuses her husband of saying this speech, demanding a right in exchange for forgiveness?
If the wife committed a forbidden act and then repented, she must conceal herself and not reveal her sin, because a person who commits immoral acts must conceal themselves, for the Prophet said: "Whoever commits any of these abominations should conceal themselves with the concealment of Allah." The husband erred by informing her brother, because concealing Muslims is obligatory, for the Prophet said: "Whoever conceals a Muslim, Allah will conceal him in this world and the Hereafter." However, since the wife herself revealed it, there is no sin on the husband for what did not emanate from him, except that he should not have informed her brother.
