How can the "evil death" from which one seeks refuge, and which Allah does not destine for His righteous servants, be reconciled with the deaths of Sayyiduna Umar, Uthman, and others?

The deaths of Umar and Uthman—may Allah be pleased with them—are among the noblest and most beloved deaths to Allah, because they are martyrs by the text of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and martyrs are the most beloved of creation to Allah. As for an evil death, it is when a person dies in disgrace and scandal, or before repentance, or without having paid off his debts, or other outcomes that are not commendable; such as sudden death, or by burning, or drowning, or falling, or being crushed under debris. These are the things from which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sought refuge in his supplications.
