What is the ruling on supplicating by seeking intercession through "the blessing of the great Friday, and the prayer that is heard by Allah, and by the blessing of the morning, and the prayer for righteousness, and Gabriel who is in Medina, the Companion?"

Allah Almighty loves to be asked, and He has commanded supplication and promised to answer it. Supplication is a great act of worship.

The best approach in supplication is to follow what has been mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah, for acts of worship are based on divine injunction and adherence, not innovation. Prophetic supplications are a source of safety and security, while others may be unlawful or disliked. It is not permissible to invent new adhkar (remembrances) or supplications and make them a regular act of worship.

Legitimate tawassul (seeking nearness to Allah) is through Allah’s names and attributes, through faith and monotheism, through righteous deeds, and by demonstrating one’s poverty and need for Allah.

As for tawassul by "the right of the adhan" or "the right of virtuous days," and similar phrases, it is impermissible if the intention is to seek nearness through created things. However, if the intention is to seek nearness through an act of Allah Almighty and the sanctity and virtue He has bestowed, then it is permissible. The general rule is to prohibit supplication with these phrases because they may carry an invalid meaning, and the established supplications are sufficient and adequate.
