The answer

"Al-Fatiha and the Surahs: Al-Inshirah, and the verse (Allah bears witness), and the verse (Say, 'O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty'), are not among the authentic supplications (adhkar) after prayer. Persisting in them falls under the category of additive innovation (bid'ah idafiyyah). It is not appropriate to persist in a specific supplication after the obligatory prayer. It is better to limit oneself to the supplications authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, especially since there are reservations about this supplication, such as supplicating Allah with names that are not His, or with what does not include praise and commendation, and combining snippets of verses out of their context, and asking for victory with that by which the Messengers were granted victory, for this involves excessiveness in supplication."
