Is a daughter required to fast for expiation of unintentional killing if her father, who suffered from a heart condition, died as a result of a heated argument between them concerning her marriage, which led to his anger and attempt to hit her with a stick before he collapsed and died?

Allah has made obedience to parents and kindness towards them obligatory, and He has made His pleasure dependent on their pleasure. The daughter mentioned has committed a grave error and must hasten to repent.

Scholars have explicitly stated that killing can occur through actions that lead to psychological harm, such as terrifying and startling shouts. If the discussion between the daughter and her father included startling shouts or similar actions that led to his death, then the killing would be semi-intentional. Otherwise, we do not believe that she is the killer of her father, and therefore, there is no expiation or blood money upon her.
