Is it permissible for a father who is not in need to take his young, unmarried son's money, without his consent, in order to marry for the third time?

The Sunnah permits a father to take from his son's wealth what suffices his needs if he is in need. The proof for this includes Prophetic traditions such as: "You and your wealth belong to your father." As for a father taking from his son's wealth while he is not in need, this is a matter of scholarly disagreement, with the preponderant view being that it is not permissible unless he is in need. If the son does not have excess wealth beyond his needs, but rather needs it for marriage or living expenses, then the father is not permitted to take from his wealth. This is because a person's spending on himself, his wife, and his children is more obligatory than spending on his parents, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Begin with yourself." The narration: "You and your wealth belong to your father" refers to a specific incident and is interpreted to mean that the father takes only what is needed. In summary: A father is not permitted to take from his son's wealth what the son needs for his own expenses, or to maintain his chastity through marriage, or similar matters. Thus, a father's desire for a third wife while his son has not yet married is considered an encroachment upon the son's right and his wealth.
