Is obedience to one's mother obligatory in not donating bone marrow, especially given the need for donations among Asian youth and the mother's lack of clear reasons for refusal?

Obedience to parents is obligatory as long as they do not command disobedience, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no obedience in sin; indeed, obedience is only in what is good," and "There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic." If the mother refuses her son's blood donation, the son should not do so, because obedience to the mother in matters that are not sinful is obligatory, while blood donation is supererogatory. Perhaps Allah will grant him the reward of both donation and obedience if He knows the sincerity of his intention.
