Among the signs of sincere repentance is the firm resolve not to return to the sin. Meeting with a non- woman, being in seclusion with her, and looking at her are all forbidden. As for marrying the daughter of a woman with whom one committed zina (fornication/adultery) with her mother, there is a difference of opinion. Imam Al-Shafi'i and Imam Malik hold that she is not forbidden, while Imam Abu Hanifa and the Hanbalis hold that she is forbidden.
