What is the ruling on a young man accompanying his righteous friends, whom his father rejects out of fear that they might incite him to jihad, and is this companionship considered disobedience?

Obedience to parents is obligatory if they command something that does not involve disobedience to Allah, and they have a valid reason, and it does not harm the son. Therefore, it seems obligatory to obey the father if he commands to separate from friends, because his intention is valid and there is no harm to the son. It is recommended to obey the father and show him kindness, while trying to convince him politely that his fears about this companionship are unfounded.
