Is obedience to parents obligatory if they order one to abandon good friends and not to travel with them to perform Umrah, while the son is on his way to [religious] commitment?

Obedience to parents or anyone else is not obligatory in matters involving disobedience to Allah or anything harmful, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, obedience is only in what is good," and "There is no obedience to a creature in defiance of the Creator." If your parents forbid you from associating with good people, do not obey them. Instead, address them with kind words and a gentle approach, such as, "O my parents, these people are good, and I benefit from them." If they refuse, do not inform them of your association with good people, but do not obey them except in matters of obedience and what is good. If they command you to associate with evil people or commit sins, do not obey them.
