The answer

The prescribed ghusl (ritual bath) is of two types: First, ghusl performed to remove major ritual impurity, such as menstruation or seminal discharge. This suffices for wudu (ablution) and does not require the intention of removing minor ritual impurity, for Allah Almighty commanded the one in a state of major impurity to perform ghusl only. This is the view of the majority of scholars. Second, ghusl not related to removing major ritual impurity, such as the ghusl for Friday prayer. This does not suffice for wudu, and wudu is required afterward.
