What is the ruling on wearing twin rings? Does it fall under the same ruling as the wedding band?

If the ring is worn for a marriage or engagement occasion, it falls under the ruling of an engagement ring. Wearing it with the belief that it benefits the couple or perpetuates love is forbidden. However, if it is worn without such a belief, merely following custom, then there is a difference of opinion among contemporary scholars. Some permit it, while others dislike it because it is adopted from non-Muslims.
