Is it permissible to work in installing pirated programs, especially if they are American, or at the request of a customer who refuses the original due to its high cost, or when mixing it with legitimate work without taking payment for installing the pirated program?

The ownership of copyrights, inventions, and innovations is recognized by Islamic law. Therefore, it is impermissible to infringe upon them, even if they belong to foreign companies owned by non-Muslims, because the wealth of a non-belligerent disbeliever is inviolable. The fact that a customer requests pirated software or rejects the original due to its high price does not justify infringing upon these rights. Similarly, installing pirated software for free does not remove the prohibition. In both cases, compensation to the rights holders is obligatory.
