The answer

The parents are advised to assist their son in getting married due to the protection it offers to one's self. The son is advised as follows:

1. Strive to convince the parents of the importance of marriage and his need for it, using various methods such as mediation by relatives. 2. If it is possible to combine seeking knowledge and seeking livelihood until graduation, then he should do so. 3. If marriage is difficult due to lack of financial means, it is recommended to fast frequently and make abundant supplications for Allah's protection, abstinence from unlawful acts, and facilitation of the marriage process. 4. If there is a need for marriage and one fears falling into unlawful acts, and marriage is possible but the parents refuse, then their obedience is not obligatory. Rather, obedience to Allah by promptly initiating marriage is obligatory. It is also advised to consult with righteous people.
