The answer

A wife should be advised kindly regarding any shortcomings she may have in fulfilling her duties towards Allah, especially concerning neglecting obligations or committing forbidden acts. This is because the husband is responsible for her and is required to advise her, enjoin good upon her, forbid evil from her, and encourage her to adhere to religious principles. This is in accordance with the Almighty's saying: (O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones), and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "All of you are shepherds and all of you are responsible for your flock. A man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for his flock," and "Indeed, Allah will question every shepherd about what he was entrusted with, whether he preserved it or neglected it, even a man will be questioned about his household." One should be keen to educate and guide them, denounce evil from them, and seek help through supplication and seeking forgiveness, while being firm when necessary.
