To what extent is the statement valid that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) burned frankincense in the time of the plague to protect Madinah, and that burning it sterilizes the air and protects from diseases?

What was mentioned in the message about the obligation of burning frankincense in homes daily, and that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did so in Madinah, is a lie and slander. The plague did not occur during his time, peace and blessings be upon him, but rather during the time of Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, in Sham. None of the Companions said to burn frankincense; rather, they narrated the hadith: "If you hear of the plague in a land, do not enter it, and if it occurs in a land while you are in it, do not leave it." The plague does not enter Madinah due to the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "There are angels at the entrances of Madinah; neither plague nor Dajjal will enter it." The hadith about fumigating the house with frankincense and wormwood is not authentic. One must be wary of spreading false messages.
