Is it permissible to send a gift to the suitor's mother with the verse "So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]" written on it, after she refused the marriage for a trivial reason?

Acquaintance and love relationships between young men and women for the purpose of marriage are doors to evil and corruption. The permissible path to mutual affection is legal marriage.

If marriage is not feasible, then it is obligatory to cut off attachment and turn away. Each party should strive for chastity through marriage and occupy their time with what benefits them.

If the young man turned away from marrying you because his mother refused, then you must turn away from him and cut off the relationship. Occupy yourself with what benefits you, draw closer to Allah, obey Him, and rely on Him.
