Is it permissible for a young man and woman to speak to each other with the intention of marriage, while observing the Islamic guidelines, and would Allah be pleased with this and bless their affairs?

The ruling on feelings of love before marriage and the sin incurred by those who are lenient in it has been previously explained. Whoever falls into such a situation must repent to Allah. Conversation between a man and a non-mahram (definition) woman is not permissible except out of necessity and under strict Shari'ah conditions. The transgressions that occur between them, such as speaking without need, softening the speech, or letting the gaze wander, are forbidden and displeasing to Allah.
