What is the ruling on praying when passing over furnishings upon which a child sits who does not cleanse himself after urinating?
Source: FtawySummarized from the full answer at Ftawy · imported Sep 2, 2026
A person's failure to cleanse themselves after urinating does not necessitate the defilement of the bedding they sit on. If there is doubt about its defilement, the foot of one performing ablution does not become defiled by passing over bedding whose defilement is doubtful, because the foot is certainly pure and the place is doubtful in its defilement. And assuming it touches a dry impurity, it becomes pure merely by moving to another place.
