What is the ruling on distributing copies of the Qur’an at weddings?

If the distribution of Qur'ans is for a valid purpose, such as a gift for guests, then it is permissible and commendable. It is considered an ongoing charity that benefits a person after their death, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Indeed, among the good deeds and merits that will reach a believer after his death are: knowledge he taught and spread, a righteous child he left behind, a Qur'an he bequeathed, a mosque he built, a house he built for the traveler, a river he caused to flow, or a charity he gave from his wealth during his health and lifetime. These will reach him after his death."
