What are the names of the trustworthy scholars in each country, and what are the names of the authentic, verified books in all fields of religion, including Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and Aqidah?
This Ummah is rich with trustworthy scholars in every time and place, in fulfillment of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "There will always remain a group from my Ummah, triumphant upon the truth, not harmed by those who abandon them, until the Command of Allah comes upon them while they are in that state." Among the Imams of scholars are: Malik in Madinah, Ibn Jurayj in Makkah, Al-Layth ibn Sa'd in Egypt, Al-Awza'i in Al-Sham, and Al-Thawri in Iraq.
As for the most important books: after the Book of Allah the Almighty, the two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim), Malik's Muwatta, and the Sunan books. Among the books of Tafsir are: Al-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, and Ibn Kathir. Among the books of 'Aqidah (creed) are: Al-'Aqidah Al-Tahawiyyah and Al-'Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah. Among the books of Usul (principles of jurisprudence) are: Al-Waraqat, Murtaqa Al-Usul, and Maraqi Al-Su'ud. And the books of Fiqh (jurisprudence) are numerous and diverse.
