Is it permissible for a son to live with his mother after her divorce from his father, especially since she needs him as a mahram, and his father has other children and does not need him as much as his mother does?

A mature son has the right to spend the night wherever he wishes, and no one has guardianship over him, unless there is a risk of corruption. One should strive to please both parents, through supplication, or mediation by wise people, or by speaking kindly with the father to serve the mother. If the desires of the parents conflict and cannot be reconciled, obedience to the mother takes precedence over the father, but the father’s right should not be entirely neglected; rather, he should be maintained and visited.
