Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger, peace be upon him, has names such as Muhammad and Ahmad, as mentioned in his : “I have names: I am Muhammad, and I am Ahmad, and I am the Eraser by whom Allah erases disbelief, and I am the Gatherer who gathers people at my feet, and I am the Final.” In the heavenly books, he is mentioned by the names Muhammad and Ahmad, both derived from praise and indicating commendation. He is Muhammad to the people for his praiseworthy qualities, and Ahmad to Allah for his knowledge of his Lord. It is necessary to write “peace be upon him” in full.
