The delay in your marriage is Allah's decree and destiny. Due to our ignorance of what is truly beneficial for us, we may dislike something which is good for us. There is no specific supplication (dua) for expediting marriage. However, supplication in general is one of the most beneficial means to achieve what is desired. A supplication is answered in one of three ways: by expediting the request, by storing it for the Hereafter, or by averting an equivalent evil. A mother's supplication against her child at a moment of anger is not answered. One must beware of angering one's mother, for honoring her is among the most obligatory duties, and disobeying her is among the greatest sins. The meaning of "supplication and destiny wrestle" is that supplication repels affliction. It is best to supplicate for a righteous spouse without specifying particular characteristics, while having trust in Allah and not being hasty for the answer.
