Does Allah weaken a believing servant in the face of a specific sin to show him his weakness?

Allah created man for the purpose of trial and test, to distinguish the wicked from the good and to manifest good deeds, as He, the Almighty, said: (Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth an adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed) Al-Kahf/7. The primary purpose of human weakness is not to display it for its own sake, but rather it is a means to achieve the trial that leads to free servitude to Allah, by choice and will. Sins, evils, and the presence of tribulations are considered part of this trial, so that the servant may come to his senses, realize his weakness and his need for his Lord, and get rid of conceit and arrogance. Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyya mentioned many profound wisdoms behind the occurrence of sins, including: introducing the servant to Allah's might, his need for His protection, attracting His help and supplication, perfecting the state of humility and brokenness, introducing him to the reality of his sinful self, the vastness of Allah's forbearance and concealment, making him know that salvation is through pardon and forgiveness, establishing the proof, and other wisdoms that aim to reform the servant and perfect his servitude.
