Listening to lessons and lectures via television or computer is a good deed for which the doer is rewarded, but it is not considered attendance at a gathering of remembrance (dhikr) or knowledge. True attendance is the physical gathering of bodies in one place. Therefore, the listener via television does not receive the same reward as one who is actually present at the lecture venue.
