Does listening to recorded daʿwah lectures and sessions via mobile phone grant the same reward as attending them in person?

Listening to lectures and lessons via mobile phone or other devices is a good deed for which the doer is rewarded. However, its reward does not equal the reward of attending them in mosques, because attending them and participating with their people in remembrance carries great virtue. The eminent scholar Ibn Uthaymeen clarified that listening to tapes does not equate to attending circles of remembrance, but listeners receive the reward for benefiting and seeking knowledge.
