Does God forgive a person upon hearing a recorded Islamic lecture via radio, by analogy with His forgiveness for those who attend it in person?

It has been established that attending gatherings of remembrance (majalis al-dhikr) is a cause for the forgiveness of sins and the attainment of immense reward. This is indicated by the hadith in the Two Sahihs, which mentions that Allah forgives those who gather to remember Him, and by the hadith in Musnad Ahmad and Al-Mu'jam al-Kabeer by Al-Tabarani, which states that those who gather to remember Allah will have their evil deeds transformed into good deeds. It is hoped that this favor includes those who gather to listen to a recorded lecture, but it does not apply to someone who listens alone.
