Is what we hear today about love before marriage permissible?

Love before marriage is divided into two categories:

First: Love for which a person is not responsible, such as suddenly hearing about or seeing a woman and becoming infatuated with her. If he adheres to the limits of Islamic law and strives for a lawful marriage, he will be rewarded for his patience and chastity.

Second: Love that arises from a person's choice and effort, such as being lenient in looking at or conversing with women. This type is not permitted by Islam, even if the intention is marriage, for prohibited matters are not made permissible by the intention of marriage.
